We began by painting the walls in a light blue-gray color. For this piece of art we chose to repeat the stencil image four times, on two different background colors. We used masking tape to create the background frames.			The two background colors we used were an orange (for a glowing sunset) and a purple (for more of a bright night sky).


Colors for the building frame were picked to match, but also to contrast, against the sky.			For the second layer we used a lighter color to mark the art deco arches.


On the opposite side, with the third layer, we colored the arches in a darker color to add dimension to the picture.			Finally, with the fourth layer, we colored the bright windows.
